Description

Here's a shot front about 1924 taken on then Albert Street (now Rue du Patrimoine) looking towards Main Street with the doctors office/hospital roof on the left, the "Seto Block" in the background, etc. I've put an animated gif up at http://guertin.com/transfer/AlbertStreet3.gif if you want to see the then-and-now comparison.

At left is my mother, Ethel (Moore) Guertin with Lina/Leena (probably skipping) and Margaret Boucher. These Boucher's also had an older sister Juliette and a brother whose name Mum forgets. Lina/Leena may have married a "Mr. Brown", an English immigrant who Mum described as a "homeboy", i.e. a young man who was sent to Canada as a orphan, or worker, etc. Boucher genealogists may have something different.
