Lac Brulé - 27 July 2008

For those of you who don't already know, this is the view off the dock at the cottage. That's an island right there.
Here's a closer view of the biggest pine (?) on the furthest left (north) side of the island.
	Here I've circled a "hole" in the branches.
Here's another shot of essentially the same "vista". See where the "hole" is?

Yup, that's a Great Blue Heron, about 40 feet up perched in a tree. It flew along the shore towards me on the end of the dock, almost right over my head and off over to that tree. Anyone ever seen this (or even heard of it!)?
